Philologia is Greek for "scholarship, love of learning," a title that embodies the objectives of the journal. The journal was created for the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences at Virginia Tech and accepts liberal arts research from all thirteen Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) universities (see Submission Information).
It is an annually published, multidisciplinary peer-reviewed journal.
The primary goal of the Philologia Undergraduate Research Journal is to establish an open forum for the exchange of ideas discovered in undergraduate research and scholastic endeavors in the liberal arts at Virginia Tech and among ACC member institutions.
The secondary goal of Philologia is to provide undergraduates with an opportunity to learn the process of submitting to a peer-reviewed publication.
